Driving an Active Latino Electorate
Driving an Active Latino Electorate, or ¡DALE!, is a program of Servicios de La Raza – Services for the people that empowers the Latino commUNITY to register to vote and GO TO VOTE. It focuses on core values of familia and fighting for and defending pro-Latino policies.
The Colorado Latino population is the eighth largest in the nation, about 21% of the state’s population and 14.5% of the state’s eligible voters. Of the 14.5 percent of Latinos, or over 1 million, approximately 555,000 are eligible to vote as they meet the requirement of 18 years of age or older. Only about half are currently registered to vote. The Latino community is an electoral power that has the potential to grow further before the elections and ultimately deliver significant statewide wins in November.
In order to have the highest impact possible, ¡DALE! will focus in six cities with low- to mid-propensity voters: Thornton, Brighton, Lochbuie, Aurora, Commerce City, Federal Heights.
