STAR Network: Community-led Crisis Response

The Support Team Assisted Response (STAR) Program provides a compassionate, community-led alternative for mental health and substance use crises. Dispatched through Denver 9-1-1 or 720-913-STAR (7827), STAR teams—comprised of behavioral health clinicians and paramedics—offer immediate support, prioritizing safety, de-escalation, and resource connection without law enforcement involvement.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately.

  • For confidential and immediate support with mental health, substance use, or emotional distress, contact Colorado Crisis Services:

Support is available 24/7/365, with interpretation services for non-English speakers.

For in-person crisis care, visit the Denver Walk-In Center, open 24/7/365 at:
4353 E. Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80220
