STAR Network: Community-led Crisis Response
The Support Team Assisted Response (STAR) Program provides a compassionate, community-led alternative for mental health and substance use crises. Dispatched through Denver 9-1-1 or 720-913-STAR (7827), STAR teams—comprised of behavioral health clinicians and paramedics—offer immediate support, prioritizing safety, de-escalation, and resource connection without law enforcement involvement.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately.
